The Shelby watch movement was born from the concept that checking the time should be as simple as a glance at your wrist. Instead of looking at a smartphone, where we’re apt to actually lose time, we signal a return to the practicality of a well-made wristwatch. Our mechanical watches do not require batteries and will last a lifetime with regular service.

Discovering a passion for repairing vintage timepieces, Matthew McMillan started a hobby in watchmaking. He then blended this new interest with his 15-year career as a Canadian Paramedic to begin initial designs of the MEDIC wristwatch. Those rough illustrations would form the basis for the final prototype and the formation of the Shelby Watch Company in 2023.
Matthew is also a member of the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute (AWCI).
